Why we exist

Yoco is an African technology company. We create opportunities for entrepreneurs to get paid and be more successful. Every day, we break down barriers and create access so that more businesses can participate in the economy and thrive.

We're establishing new markets; building business tools and financial services that work for entrepreneurs. We're making payments accessible for small businesses – often for the first time.

We've raised over $100M from some of the world's leading technology investors, who have backed companies like Nubank, Square and Stone. Now they're backing us to get South Africa – and eventually the entire continent – paid.

We make it simple for entrepreneurs to get paid

The

problem

It's too hard for entrepreneurs to access card payment tools. How do you grow if you can't get paid?

The

idea

Make it as simple as possible for small business owners to accept card payments, in-person and online.

The

outcome

Simple card machines and online payment tools that 200 000 business owners use to grow and uplift the economy.
