More of your bigger baskets go through.
A customer fills their cart, sees the total, and pauses. It's a lot to pay at once. Buy Now, Pay Later turns that pause into a sale.
Customers split the cost
Smaller, interest-free payments make the same purchase feel manageable. Same product, same price, just spread out.

The risk isn’t yours
The provider checks the customer and covers any missed payments. If a customer doesn't pay, that’s never your problem.
Nothing to build
Switch it on from your Yoco App and it appears at your checkout.

BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) lets your online customers split a purchase into interest-free instalments instead of paying the full amount upfront. When you enable it, BNPL appears as an option at your online checkout alongside standard card payments. If a customer chooses it, they pay the first portion immediately and the rest is automatically collected from their card over the following weeks. Your customer pays no interest and no fees.
You receive the full transaction amount (minus fees) through your normal Yoco settlement process - upfront, on your standard schedule. You don't wait for the customer to finish their instalments, and BNPL transactions appear alongside your regular card settlements, so there's no separate reconciliation to manage.
This doesn't affect you. Once a BNPL transaction is completed at your checkout, you're settled regardless of whether the customer completes their remaining payments. The BNPL provider carries the credit risk and handles all collections from the consumer directly — you're never liable for a missed payment.
No. BNPL is added as an extra option at your online checkout — your existing card payment flow stays exactly the same. Customers who don't want to use it simply keep paying by card. There's no change to your card processing fees, settlement schedule, or checkout experience for non-BNPL transactions. You can also toggle BNPL on or off at any time from the Payment methods page in your Yoco App.
