Inbound eCommerce Sales Manager

Yoco is looking for an experienced, growth-minded Inbound Sales Manager to report to the Head of Customer Success, and to lead a dynamic and diverse team. You’ll directly contribute to the organisation’s momentous growth by recruiting, training, coaching, developing, and leading a team of bright customer success consultants and team leads, who are highly motivated by both converting new prospects, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process onto our Yoco platform. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, lead, and coach a team of customer success consultants
  • Manage activity and the pipeline in our CRM (Salesforce) to exceed your goals
  • Develop, motivate, and retain top performers
  • Create and train sales/onboarding process best practices
  • Overachievement of targets
  • Accurate and on-time forecast reporting
  • Drive the sales-to-product feedback loop: every sale is an opportunity for research and learning
  • Make the sales and onboarding process more efficient, in collaboration with the other teams in the company, to create scale
  • Ensure the team is converting sales at the right level
Key requirements to perform responsibilities:
  • 5+ years experience leading a sales team in a high velocity, short-cycle sales environment (selling to small businesses in South Africa is a plus)
  • Experience managing an Inbound eCommerce Sales team is preferred
  • Consistently meet or exceed team targets, and have the data to prove it
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce)
  • Leadership/people management
  • Coaching around sales and sales processes
  • Strong analytics and reporting expertise
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel / Google Apps
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to influence others effectively
  • Emerging market, FinTech or startup experience
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is a bonus
